Do you remember the taste of pickles from Grandma’s kitchen? When she made that special sweet just for you, do you remember your excitement?

Over the last twenty-five plus years, BVR Foods has pursued a single goal – to bring back our grandmothers’ recipes and introduce them to a new generation.

we realised that times were changing. With mothers beginning to work outside the home, it was increasingly difficult to invest the time and effort needed to prepare pickles and powders for the family. Home-made pickles were disappearing from the typical Telugu home.

Beginning in a small way in Tirupati, BVR Foods set out to bring our ancestors’ pachadis and podis back to life. We started selling these traditional condiments to our patrons, helping them enjoy the spice that brings Telugu meals alive —without needing to prepare the intricate, time-consuming items themselves!

Our loyal clientele, spread across the world, has remained with us over the years thanks to our twin fortes – consistency in quality and perfectly authentic flavour. Our raw materials are lovingly chosen and cooking techniques rigorously followed to ensure that the food on your plate is fresh, hygienic, and of the best quality. Just like from Grandma’s kitchen!

Our international presence is grounded in strong traditional values. More than 50% of our employees are women and we’re proud to say that our company strongly believes in empowering women, both in the workplace and at home. Quality, authenticity, transparency and honesty are our watchwords.

From the date of our inception, BVR Foods has striven to produce the most delectable snacks, sweets and savouries. Come to us for great quality and homely flavours. Come to us for a taste of home.

Pachadi and Ooragaya are two broad varieties of pickles that are used at times with rice. Pachadi is like a sauce typically made of vegetables/greens and roasted green/red chilies. It is prepared fresh and is consumed within a day or two due to a short shelf life. Ooragaya is prepared in massive amounts seasonally and uses liberal amounts of chili powder, methi (fenugreek) powder, mustard powder and groundnut(peanut) oil. For a typical Andhrite, no meal is complete without this essential item. It is consumed on its own mixed with rice or is also eaten as a side dish with Pappu/koora.
